Counter-Strike 2 Update

The latest update of Counter-Strike 2 includes some gameplay changes and map updates. Retakes has been added as an official game mode supporting Defusal Group Alpha and Defusal Group Delta maps on official matchmaking servers. Additionally, Molotov and Smoke interaction logic has been fixed when multiple smokes are active on the map.

Updates have been made to several maps including Golden, Palacio, and Rooftop. Inferno has also received adjustments to improve visibility in certain areas as well as various optimizations.

Contract functionality has been extended to allow for the exchange of 5 items of Covert quality. Players can now exchange 5 StatTrak™ Covert items for one StatTrak™ Knife, or 5 regular Covert items for one regular Knife or Gloves item from a collection provided.

On the miscellaneous side, performance optimizations have been made for the main menu and item inspect UI, inventory item icons rendering issues have been fixed, server-only sound events have been addressed, and overall stability improvements have been implemented.
