Overview of League of Legends Patch 25.10
Patch 25.10 of League of Legends, developed by Riot Games, promises to bring meaningful changes to the game’s dynamic. This update is more extensive than regular balance revisions, affecting champions, items, and the player behaviour system in gameplay. It’s also projected to significantly influence the Summer competitive meta.
Official Patch Release
Patch 25.10 is slated for official release at 3 AM on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, as per the official patch schedule set by Riot Games. However, it is currently accessible in the Public Beta Environment (PBE) for testing purposes in preparation for the final rollout.
Champion Changes
Several alterations concerning champions are included in this patch. The champions affected by these changes fall under three general categories: buffs, nerfs, and adjustments.
Buffed Champions
Senna and Smolder are the recipients of substantial enhancements in their abilities. Senna will benefit from higher crit per 20 souls, improved from 8% to 10%, and an increased soul drop rate, up from 8.4% to 14%.
Meanwhile, Smolder’s Q damage per stack is being upped from 0.3 to 0.4 along with her Q max HP burn damage per 100 stacks from 0.4% to 0.5%.
Nerfed Champions
Several champions will be nerfed in the 25.10 patch. Naafiri, Xin Zhao, Lulu, Yuumi, and Kayne are on the list.
Adjusted Champions
The patch also includes some champion-adjustments. Vi is noted for experiencing changes, presumably within her jungle role. Fiddlesticks is not being specifically buffed or nerfed, but rather updated in some aspect of gameplay. Additionally, there are changes to Cho’Gath, but the specific details are yet to be confirmed.
Item Changes
Patch 25.10 will come with balancing of AP items. Unfortunately, comprehensive specifics are not available at this time; however, these adjustments are currently in the testing stage on the PBE.
Other Updates
Aside from champion and item changes, the patch introduces improvements relating to the player behavior systems. Riot Games reports that they have introduced a new system designed to minimally misidentify undesirable behavior (false positives). The new system has performed better than anticipated and has enabled the team to maintain their focus on releasing highly accurate detection mechanisms bit by bit.
Impact
In terms of impact on the competitive meta, the changes enacted by patch 25.10 are anticipated to particularly affect jungle champions such as Vi, Naafiri, and Fiddlesticks.
