Current Season Context
The ongoing 2025 LEC season marks the championship’s 13th season. An interesting feature of this season is that it’s the first LEC season under the new three-split structure and competitive calendar that Riot Games introduced for the 2025 competitive season. Following the Winter Split, the Karmine Corp emerged champions by defeating G2 Esports in the finals. Karmine Corp’s Vladimiros “Vladi” Kourtidis was also recognized as the MVP of the split.
At present, the Spring Split is ongoing, with the 7th week recently wrapping up. The most recent matches were part of Week 7 Day 3 and took place on May 12, 2025. As we head towards the anticipated conclusion in early June, teams are not just competing for the championship, but also for a portion of the €80,000 prize pool, which equals to approximately $89,879.
