New features and adjustments in 2XKO’s Patch 1.0.3
Following its release on November 18, 2XKO’s Patch 1.0.3 has a range of new features for players, including the Learning Hub. The Learning Hub is an accessible tool under the Play tab, which consolidates initial player tutorials and training modes like Tutorial, Combo Trials, Advanced Lessons, and Training. A challenge mode called Bot Beatdown lets players face robots of increasing difficulty for more advanced practice opportunities.
Champion Balance Adjustments
Balance adjustments have been made to Teemo, Ekko, Blitzcrank, and Yasuo. The developers have aimed to curb the dominance of highly preferred champions to provide fair conditions for their opponents. Additionally, Blitzcrank received a buff to enhance his reliability and competitiveness.
Bug Fixes
A range of bugs that existed in the game have also been addressed. Issues pertaining to inadvertent collisions, unexpected interactions amongst champions, and moves that captured opponents are some of the glitches that have been ironed out.
Changes Specific to Champions
Certain changes have been made in the abilities and moves of Ekko, Teemo, Yasuo, and Blitzcrank. The changes in each champion are geared towards addressing existing issues and improving gameplay.
Adjustments in Ekko
Ekko’s changes focus on diminishing his high-reward moves, such as Time Winder, and rectifying its unintended behaviors. The change in the minimum damage override and an overall damage reduction in Time Winder are notable. Additionally, collision issues that allowed Ekko to unintentionally pass through enemies have also been resolved.
Changes in Teemo
Mods to Teemo’s tools and ranged disruption generate more opportunities for counterplay. Changes include reduced payoffs and hitbox reduction in certain moves, and new requirements for overhead attacks for combos, reducing solo conversion potential.
Adjustments in Yasuo
Yasuo has also undergone several revisions. There is a correct application of damage scaling in Turbulent Wind and redistribution of movement mechanics to encourage diversified play. The nerfs to combo routes and blockstun reduce his oppressive offense.
Revamps in Blitzcrank
Blitzcrank has received extensive buffs to increase his viability and reduce his automatic choice owing to new startup time, reduced blockstun, increased hurtbox, and increased recovery frames. He now takes longer to launch and cannot form gapless combos anymore.
System and Bug Fixes
Various system bugs and collision issues have been resolved, and champions no longer warp or get trapped. This enhances fluidity in corner play and the overall gameplay experience. Furthermore, a hotfix system was tested with this patch, allowing for quick bug fixes without any server downtime.
Additional Content
Moreover, the patch sees the addition of more skins and improvements to the Champion Mastery system. New “Learning Hub” features for beginners have been launched.
Community Reaction and Strategy Impact
Feedback from players and streamers indicates that the changes affect both high-level competitive play and the general ladder population over concerns related to overpowering moves and double assist setups.
