A Brief Overview of Pantheon
Pantheon in the League of Legends universe is commonly known as “The Unbreakable Spear”. His journey started as Atreus, a brave warrior from the Rakkor tribe. Atreus was chosen to host the celestial spirit of the Aspect of War from Mount Targon, which signifies war. During a mortal battle with Aatrox, the previous incarnation of Pantheon was destroyed. Atreus, however, survived and inherited the will to go on, thus becoming Pantheon.
Aspects and Targon: A Deeper Insight
Mount Targon is known for its mystical significance in the League of Legends universe. It is where celestial entities known as Aspects choose human hosts to live in. These Aspects are god-like beings from the heavenly realm. Their mission is to combat the Void threats across the universe. Given that Aspects don’t have physical forms naturally, they resort to mortals as vessels to make their presence felt in the human world.
Pantheon’s endurance and fighting spirit are reflected in the Legends of Runeterra game play. In the game, Pantheon levels up after you’ve targeted five allies in five different rounds, projecting his role of standing unbowed and undefeated in the face of adversities.
Champions of Targon
In addition to Pantheon, Targon is the home to numerous other champions including Taric, also known as Shield of Valoran, Leona referred to as the Radiant Dawn, Diana, known as Scorn of the Moon, and Aurelion Sol, termed as the Star Forger. Other champions from Targon are Soraka, Zoe, Kayle, etc. Each of these champions symbolize different facets of Targon’s celestial power and influence.
For players longing for an in-depth understanding on Pantheon’s abilities and his contribution to the lore, detailed information is available on the official champion page of the League of Legends or on Legends of Runeterra resources.
