About Maestro

If you are new to playing Maestro in Rainbow Six Siege, the character might seem calm initially. However, as the action unfolds, the scenario gets complicated and chaotic. Suddenly, the area is clouded by smoke, drones begin to fall and the attackers realize they are under constant surveillance and getting slowly damaged by a device that cannot simply be shot at to be destroyed. This is where Maestro’s Evil Eye gadget comes into play.

Evil Eye Mechanics

Maestro’s Evil Eye is a bulletproof camera with a laser turret that can provide critical information even through smoke, spot enemies, inflict slow damage and destroy the gadgets of attackers, like Hibana pellets or Thermite charges. The uniqueness of Evil Eyes is they can be placed on hard, non-destructible surfaces for durability and they remain invulnerable until the lens opens for laser firing.

For countering, attackers can melee the glass if they are close enough or use tools like Sledge’s hammer, or explosives to destroy them. Another approach is to destroy the surface where they are deployed.

Effective Usage Tips for Evil Eye

Evil Eye can be effectively used for area demarcation by disallowing plants, stalling pushes, and establishing site control in collaboration with Smoke or Echo. It is suggested to give priority to information over damage in the early stages of a match. The lens should only be exposed when necessary and it should be positioned high to save it from melees.

Maestro’s Loadout

Maestro’s kit is designed for versatility. Under the primary category, there are two options available, ALDA 5.56 (LMG) and ACS12 (Shotgun). For secondary, there are Bailiff 410 and Keratos .357 at disposal. Alternative gadgets available are Barbed Wire, Impact Grenade, and Observation Blocker. Exclusively, Maestro can deploy three Evil Eye cameras. Among these, ALDA is often regarded as one of the most potent weapons for defenders.

Strategies and Tips for Maestro Placement

General tips to effectively play Maestro are to learn plant spots, use impacts to destroy your cameras when required and refrain from wasting shots in the initial stages. Considering banning Bravo pack for more intelligence control may prove beneficial.

Map-specific setups have been explained with video guides for different maps like Oregon, Chalet, Consulate, and Clubhouse. Advanced strategies include dropping cams at precise high points, angling wide for the maximum site visibility, or positioning it to observe split/dragon doors.
