Introduction to Caitlyn

The first lineup of the new season of the 2XKO roster welcomes Caitlyn, raising the number of playable champions to twelve. Caitlyn can be played on multiple platforms including PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. In gameplay, Caitlyn is defined as a long-distance specialist, utilizing tools like Bola, Enticing Trap, Piltover Peacemaker, and her Ace in the Hole super to control territory in the 2v2 format.

Players can either obtain Caitlyn through a no-charge Champion Recruitment Event or accelerate the process via the Ultra Battle Pass or a Champ Token. These options ensure a user-friendly method of acquiring Caitlyn from the beginning of the new season.

Playing as Caitlyn

When playing as Caitlyn, the emphasis is on ranged zoning with additional options for close-range encounters. Caitlyn has a number of core strategies and tools for the best gameplay. These include firing shots from her rifle, deploying bola/net traps to immobilize opponents, and utilizing kicks and dives.

Additionally, Caitlyn has a range of special moves including concentrated blasts and a major shoot-through shield, akin to Street Fighter’s Urien Aegis Reflector, for deflecting opponents’ attacks. Her ultimate move is a high-power single rifle shot. The showcasing of her Arcane skin, move list, and gameplay is a noteworthy feature of the game.

Roster and Updates

The refreshed roster now also includes Vi, Warwick, Jinx, Teemo, Blitzcrank, Braum, Illaoi, Yasuo, Ahri, Ekko, Darius, along with Caitlyn. The competitive structure of the game includes a new 2026 Competitive Series with five major events and fifteen challenging ones coinciding with the console release.

From the release of the new season until now, there have been several patches to address software glitches, balance the gameplay, and make updates to features like Learning Hub and Champion Mastery. Players can find more information on beginner guides and progression details, such as battle passes and cosmetics, on the official Riot Games site.
