VALORANT Patch 10.06 Released by Riot Games
Riot Games has brought significant changes, fixes, and gameplay adjustments in the new VALORANT Patch Notes 10.06. With the introduction of this update, the objective is to modify the current meta comprising of buffs, nerfs, and other refinements to better cater to players of varying skillsets.
Agent Adjustments: Buffing KAY/O
Presently, KAY/O is among the least-chosen agents in VALORANT. Patch 10.06 looks to alter this by handing out considerable buffs to improve his viability in competitive matches. The following modifications are designed to boost his utility and better his synergy with the team:
- FLASH/DRIVE now requires a 0.8 second windup time post rebounding
- Underhand flash maximum time has been increased from 1.2 seconds to 1.5 seconds
- Range for “flashing” voice callout has been increased from 20 meters to 50 meters
- The time taken to unequip is decreased from 0.85 seconds to 0.6 seconds
- A minimap indicator has been added, but only for teammates
- The resurrection time for NULL/CMD allies has been decreased from 3 seconds to 1.5 seconds
The primary goal behind these changes is to increase KAY/O’s viability and promote smoother coordination with teammates.
Other Agent Modifications
Other agents have also undergone changes:
- The cost for Yoru’s Fakeout has been increased from 100 to 200 credits
- Vyse’s Razorvine duration has been reduced from 10 seconds to 7 seconds
- The triggered wall duration of Shear by Vyse has been reduced from 8 seconds to 6 seconds
Bug Fixes
In addition to the changes in agents, Riot Games has also rolled out numerous bug fixes for agents such as Raze, Clove, Deadlock, Breach, Sova, Gekko, Iso, and Tejo in this patch update.
Map Adjustments
In terms of maps, Ascent and Icebox are now part of the map pool, whereas Abyss and Bind have been taken out rotation.
